Caffè King – A Story of Family, Aromas, and Passion
It all began in the 1960s, in the port city of Livorno, where the scent of the sea mingled with the intense aroma of freshly roasted coffee. It was there that Romano Marinai, a man of determined character and clear vision, embarked on his journey into the world of coffee, founding a roastery together with two partners that was destined to make its mark.
The years passed, filled with challenges and satisfactions, but as often happens in the most authentic journeys, paths diverged and that adventure came to an end. But true passion never dies.
In 1993, Romano decided to get back in the game, this time alongside his dearest loved ones: his son Nicola and his wife Rosella. Together they opened a new roastery in Castagneto Carducci, among the Tuscan hills kissed by the sun and infused with the scent of the Mediterranean.
Thus was born Caffè King: a small kingdom of taste, where roasting became art and every bean told a story.
Starting from 2009, the roastery began to experience a new phase of growth thanks to the arrival of Costanza, Nicola's daughter. Young, passionate, and gifted with an innate sense of aesthetics and innovation, she helped transform the company, projecting it toward the future while never losing its connection to its roots.
In 2012, Samuele, Costanza's husband, also entered the scene. With his overwhelming enthusiasm and natural aptitude for human relationships, he quickly became the face and voice of the company to the outside world: a true bridge between family tradition and new generations of customers.
His commitment was such that, in 2024, Samuele officially became a partner in Caffè King SNC, bringing with him new visions and ambitious projects.
Today, Caffè King is not just a roastery: it's a family. It's a story of dedication and love for an ancient craft. It's the aroma that welcomes you in the morning, the break that regenerates you, the flavor that accompanies your important moments. It's the tale of a tradition that lives, grows, and looks ahead, one coffee at a time.
